The American people say no to ICE

In Bucks County, Pennsylvania, pro-ICE Sheriff Fred Harran was voted out of his position and replaced by a Democrat, Danny Ceisler.

Ceisler won with 55% of the vote and will officially become the sheriff in January.

In April 2025, Fred signed up the Bucks County Sheriff's Office for the ICE 287(g) program, which granted his local deputies the authority to enforce immigration laws during routine duties, like during a traffic stop. This basically makes them a separate chapter of ICE.

Various community groups, immigration advocates, and Democratic county commissioners argued that the decision required county approval.

In June, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit, stating that the ICE program is unlawful and leads to racial profiling. 

The decision was put in the hands of Jeffrey Trauger, an unelected county judge who is responsible for the death of a 7 year old girl, ruled that the ICE program was "clearly lawful".

Jeffrey Trauger is a real piece of shit. 47,000 people signed a petition for his removal. He's still the judge somehow.

Until January, Bucks County is going to be dangerous for migrants and brown people. Danny Ceisler says he will end the program within the first few weeks of taking office.

Also in Bucks County, former prosecutor Joe Khan has just been elected as the first Democrat District Attorney since 1891. This office has been controlled by Republicans for all of modern history.

Khan won with roughly 54% of the vote. He promised to broaden the office's focus to include more proactive enforcement in consumer protection, worker rights, and corporate accountability. Ironically, the Republican opponent Jennifer Schorn, promised to create a new anti-gun crime force, as well as to focus on drug-related crimes. Like most Republicans candidates in Pennsylvania this year, she wasn't popular.

While Democrats are only the lesser of two evils and are by no means going to save us, these Republican losses are vital for the survival of our nation. The government, and especially the Republicans, are going to kill us all if we don't get some new leftist politicians.
